THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBES THE INCLUDED PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN WHEN I SERVED WITH HEADQUARTERS & HEADQUARTERS COMPANY OF THE 13th ENGINEER BATTALION FROM AUGUST 1959 thru AUGUST 1960. AT THIS TIME THE 7th INFANTRY DIVISION, AND THE 13th ENGINEERS, WAS HEADQUARTERED AT CAMP CASEY, SOUTH KOREA. CAMP CASEY WAS JUST OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE OF TONGDUCHON, WHICH LIES DIRECTLY NORTH OF SEOUL AND APPROX 5 MILES SOUTH OF THE 38th PARALLEL OFF MSR-3.

PICTURE NO. 005 WAS TAKEN DURING A BN REVIEW IN NOVEMBER 1959. THE OFFICER SALUTING ON THE LEFT IS THE BN EXEC, WHILE THE OFFICER ON THE RIGHT IS THE BN CO, LT COL JAMES H. HARPER.
