This is one of the many bridges built by the 13th Engineers during World War II. This bridge was on the island of Leyte.
Pagbanganan river, Western Leyte. Crossing built by the
13th Engineers.
Children liberated by the 17th Infantry Regiment
and the
13th Engineer (C) Battalion
in the Phillipines. It appears to be an orphanage and one of the happier days of the war.
